SGA 45 degree setup.

I’ve had this setup from when I built the first “DIY” SGA. Recently I decided to overhaul the setup. Clean up the “rough” edges and more importantly, strengthen by adding rigidity.

The bracket consists of a 2” aluminum square tube w/ 1/4” wall thickness. It has a 4” piece of 1.5” arm bolted in. I cut out the tube and fixed to the tooling arm @ 45 degree angle.
Originally, I used a 1” attachment arm and a clamp made of some scraps I had. It worked, but had too much give for my liking. I replaced it with 1.5” tooling arm.

I went ahead & sprayed the Slide Table with satin black epoxy.

Looks good David, that should be pretty darn solid. You sure started a trend with your first post about building the SGA.

LOL! Well, I surely don’t care about trends. But I love that SO many builders have taken this on.

I can’t wait to see who builds one next.
