Here are some photos from my work. This was a unusual request for my shop since we never have worked on knives before, generally we make tooling for other manufactures.
A walk-in customer asked to have a logo put on their kitchen knife and it was too intricate to mill so we decided to "burn" it into the blade using an EDM. Needless to say this was a fun job for me to do. Wish I could afford to EDM the blades I make!
The first picture is of my setup, I had to protect the bone handle from the EDM fluid with a plastic bag and some tape
Here is the logo actually being burned into the blade. The black square thing is graphite, the graphite is machined into the shape of the logo and then the logo is burned into the blade, in this case with about 10amps of electricity.

HEY Hope you all got what you wanted ,my girls are on the east coast and i thought what a better way to spend xmas morning
than out on the rocks fishing . so I got there at 4:30 tide starting coming in at 2 by 9am at its high point , fishing sucked only
got one had to throw him back about 11in. but by 7:30am i was down to my tank-top and shorts and had a great time. in the last next post photo look for the two fins in
the water.
