I am trying to make my own vacuum chamber for stabilizing handle materials. I purchased copper line and compression fittings.
What I can not figure out is what kind of fitting or adapter I need to go from my vacuum pump to the copper compression fittings? Can anyone help me out?
TIA

Your vacuum pump has what type of fitting? Or, is it just a 1/8" female pipe thread? As Chris said there is nothing special needed. Go to local hardware store and get a barbed hose fitting with male threads to fit your vacuum pump. Then a rubber (plastic) hose to slip over the hose barb and connect to vacuum chamber with a similar fitting. No need for clamps since this is a vacuum rather than pressure application.

Your copper tubing and compression is waaaaay overkill and more hassle than needed for this application.

I just used standard airline and pipe fittings...you are only pulling 32 lbs for full vacuum...nothing will collapse. I used an old aluminum pressure cooker for the chamber.
