New San-Mai Hunter

This blade has been around for a while, and recently I decided it needed finishing. It's my "Gen-2" small hunter pattern, but dressed up in San-Mai with a core of 1080/15N20 "W" pattern Damascus, laminated between 410 stainless, and finished off with satin clear Gun-Kote for protection and near zero maintenance. Handle is Macadamia wood, with Tru-Oil finish, and Nickel Sliver pins/thong hole liner. The fob is tanned elk hide. Comes with the 9-10oz oak tanned, pouch style, leather sheath as pictured. It will also be posted in the For Sale area of these forums.

Nice control of your materials Ed, a little uneveness and it looks like your patterns fall apart, good stuff.

Thanks Craig! I spent way more time looking at it then working it....in both the forging and the grinding....just be make sure the core was staying centered. That was one of those rare days.....where I ate the bear! :) (versus how it usually goes.....with the bear eating me) o_O
