My new hobby has taken control!

First, thanks to everyone who helps us learn this craft.
I started with my first knife in June of this year, making the sculpted handle knife for my Son-in-Law prior to his deployment. Made it out of O-1, with files and heat treated it with a Map torch and fire brick forge. I was impressed that with some hard work, I could make a knife.
7 months late, hours upon hours of reading these sites, and watching YouTube, a few thousand invested in proper equipment, and constant learning through trial and error and I have found a new passion that isn’t going away.

Thank you, there has been a steep learning curve for sure and I know I have a ton to still learn. I do know up grading equipment with each knife sold has made a huge difference. I’m focusing on technique, fit & finish, and new materials. Soon to start looking at heat treating, hidden tangs with bolsters, and then Hamons.
