I count 4 layers deep on that engraving. Inlaying gold inside an engraving is tough enough, making a straight, clean border is something else. Nice knife.
 
I was thinking that is sure a nice clean looking knife when I saw the first picture. Then I saw the second one and it really dresses up the knife a lot.

Nicely finished.

I have to agree. Started as a beautiful conservative knife. The engraving just added a touch more class. Awesome knife both ways.
