I mailed this one off yesterday. It's a bit big for me but just right for it's new owner who named it the "Judge".

6" closed, CPM 154 CM, all stainless fittings, old Westinghouse paper Micarta with black spacers.

Is there a reason you added the black spacer to the frame handle material?

I don't know exactly why he added the black between the handle material and the frame, but I do it to add contrast between the frame and the light color material. I also use it on all straight knives with full tangs but I use red on 90% of those. This is a great looking knife and the finish looks fantastic.

Is there a reason you added the black spacer to the frame handle material?

The supplier misquoted the thickness of the handle material, (and the color). We used it anyway and added the black spacer to make it thick enough for this big knife.
