We have started to learn how to lay up carbon fiber sheets.
Todd and Connor are setting up our first effort. The resulting sheet is pictured. It's hard to tell from the picture but the two scales have been convexed to have a look inside. Our biggest challenge will be to learn how to minimize the small voids that are typical of most CF.
The CF sheet turned out fairly decent. Better than I had thought the first pass would.
We still have a lot of experimenting and learning to do but I'm encouraged we could get a sheet of it on our first pass.
I'm pretty excited about the potential for small batch boutique type materials.
