Knife ID help?

Here are two knives a neighbor brought by and I didn’t have any answers for him. Being the local Knifemaker I get folks swinging by from time to time and see some interesting finds. Any ideas what either of these might be or who made the little folder?

Can't give you much help on the folding knife but the first knife is a bayonet of some model. My gut feeling is that it's WWI or earlier. That's not much but it will give you a starting point for research.

I think I figured out that fixed blade.

It appears to be a Japanese bayonet for an Arisaka. The Arisaka was the standard infantry rifle around WWI/WWII.

It's missing the barrel "loop". Whatever it's called.

Either way, that blade is likely something that a veteran brought home after serving in the Pacific. Very cool!

That's a mark from the Nagoya Rikugun Zoheisho Arsenal. Don't make me try and spell that again. :D

It appears to be a "Type 30" bayonet. BUT there is more than one variety of the Type 30. I THINK it's the earliest varient (that doesn't mean rare).

Here a few websites that MIGHT be helpful. I don't know how reliable they are, but they look the part, anyway.

I didn't really look at the websites, I just sorta skimmed through... hopefully they are helpful. I didn't do much research. Just enough to feel confident giving you a nudge in the (probably) right direction :D
