I retired from day job after 20 something years in technology, prior to that I was a commercial photographer who developed an vision problem, end of Aug. In Oct 2011 I attended the ABS Intro class with MS Foster & Knight. A great pair to start with. I set up a smaal forge, anvil, and grinder on my back porch to start this new adventure with. I have attended two Hammer-Ins at Haywood CC in Clyde, NC. I currently heat 1084, rasps, files, and anything else I can grt my hands on to practise. I draw knives when not forging & grinding. To practise prior to hitting steel I grind my designs out of 5 gal. size paint stirers as they are feel.

For years I have finished blanks made by others.

I look forward to reading over the forum and learning new things. If I can help anyone with either computer or photo issues please fel free to ask.
