Hello ,name's Fred Ritter from Flat Rock Mi. about 1/2 way between Detroit and Toledo.Picked up this as a hobby and a way to make a dollar or two.Forced retirement,at 62 jobs are scarce.
My shop is shaping up but missing a decent Grinder.
I look forward to adding to and learning from the group.I'v got a big dog her name is Belle,she's a Leonberger.
 
Welcome fellow Michigander! Do a search for belt grinder on Craigslist detroit. I just saw one today. I think it was in Milan.
 
Went to Milan and checked out the grinder,the fella is a engineer at TRW and built it from pix's at Beaumont Metal Works plus some parts from Beaumont.
A very heavy duty grinder. Went to Toledo and picked up a 2 HP,3 phase motor to go with a spare Baldor inverter I had in the shop.now a little machine work and I will be there.
