Hi All,
I'm a Belgian designer and bave been involved in knives design for a few years now.
In the beginning, I was consulted by some kivesmakers to design more ergonomic handles. It is true that a lot of them are making beautifull blades and most of the time are adding a block as handle ... also some very good handle designers among them !
More and more, I began to understand blade geometry (skinners, hunters, fighters, utility ...) and designed some blades.
pict. 1 - a knive I designed completaly, sheat included / hunter - skinner
Knifemaker : Samuel Lurquin
Sheathmaker : Gustaaf van Belleghem
Sorry for the picture's quality, the damascus is washed out by the flash
pict 2 - a knive inspired by many influences / utility knive
pict. 3 - illustration of a limited production of Chris Reeve, the Kathatu
This is not an add, but would be a pleasure to get involved in projects !
I'm thinking of individuals who have a knive design in mind but want someone to draw their ideas before ordering to a knivesmaker.
Also knivesmakers good at knivesmaking but not that much in handle ergonomy.
