Hi. New here, I don't consider myself to be a knifemaker, but I I make custom tooling, blanks, and designs. This is my first "build"/ folder design, which started out with a prototype on my plasma table with the idea of making a simple friction folder. I ended up spending a fair amount of time on all the geometry and design end of things, but I wanted to keep the finished product as simple as possible. No milling, no bearings, no springs and easily serviceable with basic tools. 304SS Liners, 1/8 Aluminum scales, 3/16 mild steel spine, teflon washers, and a 5/32, 1095 blade. CNC laser cut. Blades blanks were ground, heat treated and finished by my brother at Origin Handcrafted. 10" overall with a 4 5/16 blade.
