Had my 6 month checkup with the cancer Doc today. He took me off retuxan infusions last December, and said "I'll see you in July." Today I went in for bloodwork, a CT scan, and then a visit with the Doc. I sat down with him and we reviewed my CT scans from a year ago, comparing it to today's. Although the radiologist report came back saying that there was a new 5mm "spot" on my right lung, the Doc and I went through the comparison frame by frame, and he said he simply couldn't see what the radiologist was talking about. Long story short, I've had "minimal" advancement of anything in my lungs! Praise God! During our visit, I just came out and asked the Doc what his thoughts were for how this "thing" is gona effect me. His response was.... "Old age is likely gona kill you before this stuff does." Thats the kind of news I was hoping for, and really appreciated his straight talk, instead of tip-toeing around the question. In the end, he told me he'd see me again in January, for another checkup. WOOT! WOOT!! Guess you all are gona have to put up with me for a while longer!
