First knife completed

Finally finished it up this weekend.



9 1/2" overall with a 4 1/2" blade.

3/16" 01 steel with a flat grind.

Buckeye burl scales with Turquoise for the bolsters.



Took a ton of pics because I was so excited to finally finish it.

Critiques and suggestions are welcomed.
 
Not too shabby for any knife and for a first knife excellent. If you've never done any steel or woodwork before this I agree that you have a bright future indeed.
If I were to critique I would say that the guard area needs a little work design wise.
The guard is a little big and the ricasso almost non existent.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the kind words and input.
This is truly my first 100% handmade knife. Ground it, heat treated and tempered it myself.
I've put handles on many other makers and suppliers blades, but this was a first for me.
 
Awsome for your first knife 2thumbs. I really like the turquoise with the burl wood. very nice sheath as well.

Excellent for your first knife. One small flaw and its my weakness and thats pin alignment. still very hard to notice excellent overall job. kellyw
