Chris Railey's question about 80CrV2 forge welding motivated me to finish a knife out of the billet I welded up several months ago (thanks for that!)

Truth be told I think I hurt my shoulder beating it out, by hand of course, and I've been nursing it until the tendons calmed down, and I was feeling pretty good yesterday so I twisted it up, chopped it into and finished making a blank.

11 layers 80CrV2 and 15N20. Treated with Turco for normalizing, thermal cycling and austenitizing. The 80CrV2 came out clean but the 15N20 came out with some scale of sorts. Just out of the quench and cooled to ambient.
