First attempt at trying to make a slip joint

Look's Good, I've only made a few myself, but it looks like your headed in the right direction. Keep us posted on your progress.

Yes you're on the right path. One thing I see is the spring should be longer. See the corner of the tang in the last picture? The spring isn't long enough to cover that corner which makes the corner wear off quicker. Of coarse if the spring were longer the notch on the blade would need to be cut the same amount.
