Every year at the summer(about the third week of august here) my wife enjoys collecting the Monarch Caterpillar. This morning thats what we did, must have found better than 30.

I have no idea? I know quite alot about native prairie plants but not insects.

I didn't realize until I saw a Nova program on PBS that all of the Monarch butterflies travel to somewhere that they have never been and most will never get to. One generation of butterflies start out in Mexico and in three generations make it up to the northern Great Lakes. There a fourth generation is born that will travel all the way back to Mexico.
