Does Dykem have a shelf life?

Did you shake well before using? Could be that it's separated a bit, or the alcohol could have evaporated out of it too much. Do you still have a seal inside the lid? I know mine falls out every once it a while. If it doesn't get a good seal, it could have dried out or evaporated some.

Try shaking it up real well, and if that doesn't work, add a little bit of denatured alcohol into it and shake it up again.
 
I just looked at mine..... no expiration date on it. (I have two spray cans of it). Less is more with it..... spraying too heavy a coat causes the "chipping"..... just enough to scribe/mark through seems to stay put the best for me.
 
I've had a mostly used bottle dry up on me. It was a plastic bottle with the brush in the cap, if that matters.
 
My can I've been working on for the better part of 5 years here in the southern Arizona desert, so far so good!
