Design Input

I'm looking for some input, advice and critiques on a couple design possibilities for one of my next knives. The knife will be for a young lady to carry while deer hunting. She needs a smaller knife and all 3 designs have a 3" blade and 6.5" overall. I plan to use 1/8" AEB-L and outsource the heat treat.

Thanks for looking

Chris,
At first glance my vote was for No 2,
The drop of the blade and handle have a nice flow.

BUT, I would like to see another drawing with the handle of No 2 and the blade of No 3.
I see an even nicer flow there.

Handle 1 on blade 3 is a split of the curvature and the heigth of the handles. If Im seeing it right it will flow from butt to tip in one smooth radius. Just a different look. The issue I see is the overall comfort of the user with the overall shape of the knife

Hi,

I agree, #2 looks nice!

More drop in the point like that really helps to prevent poking the guts. Finger guard helps keep your fingers off the blade when deep in. Also the shorter blade is easier to handle inside the cavity. Yep, #2 looks really nice!
