Burnishing sheath

Is it possible to burnish the whole sheath?

Yes - I use canvas or old jeans material or a piece of smooth antler. Although not done so much today, burnishing in the old days was the sign of a master craftsman.

I use my buffer with a clean wheel, no compound.
