Belt Question

jcullen asked about the importance of belt direction but I've got another.

Those of you that split your 2x72 inch belts in half, how exactly do you do it?
I've asked this before on a different(across the Pond) Forum, but never got a straight answer. Now I'm at the point on a couple very contoured handles and split belts would really work better than the entire width.

So, how do you guys split them?cool 1

I cut mine at the joint where the belt is connected and then just tear the rest.

yeah, that or you can buy 1 inch wide belts. Pops has some that have scalloped edges that work great for handle shaping, the scalloped edges dont dig in.

I keep meaning to tell Tracy he should get them too, but keep forgetting... Oh Tracy.....
