Back to Basics teachable knife.

I have a friend that wants me to teach him how to build a knife. So I thought I would chose a design that had simple lines and basic techniques. I am going to build first, then teach him. I chose this design. It’s is also designed to keep the flat carbon texture and only a 400 grit bevel. A simple brass pin and lanyard hole. A nice exotic wood should make it pop enough to make it special.. We can do a simple sheath later and it may make a cute EDC fixed blade. I should be able to finish this knife in one try. If I can’t do that, I may have hang
up my apron.

What is the length of the blade? It looks 50/50. I’d suggest a little longer handle in relationship to the blade. Enough for a three finger grip.

Ok thanks, I can still do that. I haven’t started beveling it yet. Good idea.
