Ed, that "Blued Hammer 1" is a thing of beauty - nobody should ever even consider hammering with that - mount on plaque for display. Beautiful!

Thanks Ken! I'm always torn when I build something like that.... functional, but turns out so good nobody would use it.

Believe it or not, there is a segment of people out there that collect hammers. The whole reason I made those two, was because I got several emails asking "When are you going to make some more Damascus hammers?" And of course once they are made, and the emails sent..... nothing but the sound of crickets chirping. But that's OK, they will just wait for the "right" person to come along. I was suppose to have two of the 9-bar composite hammers....but one of them had got a slight crack at the bottom of the eye during heat treat..... so that's one more Damascus hammer for me!
