Aeb-l magnetic

I've been using AEB-L for the last couple of knives I made and they are magnetic after heat treating. Is this normal or do I need to change something in my process.

It is supposed to be magnetic as it is a martensitic stainless steel. However, I believe it over my pay grade to explain why.

Yeah, that can happen, even just because you're machining them. You need to buy a demagnetizer. Do a search for them, as they range in type and capability by quite a bit. I bought an electric one on eBay for $60 or thereabouts, and ever knife gets passed by it prior to shipping.

Ok, thanks. Ill look on ebay.
