A2 Cryo ?

I am considering trying A2 for EDC and smaller knives for additional wear resistance. While many steels have a pretty good volume of with and without data floating around out there, I'm having a hard time finding those "definitive" data points in the knife making world that I'd like to have to make a decision. I'm sure it's been used a ton both ways. But it seems to be one of those steels that is borderline based largely on austenitizing temp. 1725-1740 is supposed to minimize RA, while the higher end guys are sub zero or cryo quenching.

I'm interested in hearing anyone's thoughts or experiences on the subject. Is sharpenability greatly affected with a little RA?
