Hi, my name's Dana Acker, and I'm from Mt. Airy, NC. I have not posted on this particular forum before. I'm pretty much a new/old haunt at the Neo Tribal Forum.
That said, does anybody have any high carbon steel at 3/16" thick and 3/4" wide (any length) for sale? I used to get 1095 from Admiral Steel at those dimensions, but now they don't offer anything less tha 1". They offered to cut some for me special at over a thousand $$$$.
I've got some projects coming up and really need 3/16" thick by 3/4" wide steel. I really like the 1075--1095 steels for what I'm doing, but would settle for any respectable high carbon forging steel--I'm not a steel bigot. I've checked a lot of commercial steel sources, but 1" is about the smallest width I can find. You can contact me on forum, or off forum at: ackerforge@yahoo.com
