1075 Hamon

Very nice! I've only done one and I used the Rutland's in a tub. Bought some in a caulking tube that I think will make it a little easier to work with. Need to get off my duff and try it. :)
 
Thanks. This was Rutland's in a tub. I just used a popsicle stick and q-tips to apply.
 
Thank you. I typically use a refractory cement made by Mecca Red Devil. I ordered that when I was thinking about making my own forge.
Thought I would try this since I had read it worked well with 1075.
 
If you ever get your hands on some 1045 or 1050.... give your hamon procedure a try with it...... the results will knock your socks off. ;)
 
Opaul your crushing those Hamons!! I've seen some of your previous ones and they look GREAT! I'm gonna request you do a WIP with your procedure in it!!
