    I love it. Used to doodle Kilroy was here all the time when I was a kid. The knife is outstanding- reminds me of Mr. Moran (kindest man I met) wit a pinch of scagel, in your unique style of rough finishing, hammer forged blade, and my favorite stuff wrought iron for fittings. Truly a work of art.

    Something fishy.....

    That fishy knife is calling to me....... the sheath reminds me of scandinavian fish knives, where the sheath is shaped as the body of a fish, and the knife handle butt was the head..

    Will emailed me back and mentioned he thunk it was perhaps just a newbie employee mistake, not much more to say about it. Odd that such a knife would leave the factory!

    Hi all, I recently saw an old Western/Westmark 701 with odd serial stampings. THere are two serial #'s one on the back and another on the front stamped directly over the brand mark WESTMARK. Any knowledgeable Western fans out there who may know the meaning of the second stamp? :les:

    Wow, really fools the eye, love the effect. How about a*chainsaw* (knapped ) edge , if the edge is too thick?.. ..don't cut it...rip it! Beautiful work there.

    smatchet

    Hi, if I recall the smatchet was a limited run when Al was alive. The Micarta handled ones more valuable, the rubber handled ones a little less. The Al Mar Smatchets are getting rare and in demand and can be pricey. A pic would be good? Hope this helps.
