    Copper River

    This one stretched my boundaries a little. 8.5" edge, 14" OA, 5/16" spine with a hammer texture guard and a K&G stabilized brown dyed curly maple handle.

    Cake knife for our anniversary.

    I decided to make a cake knife. Not really but this bowie will be used for that. 126 layers of 15n20 and 1084 with an unbelievable piece of koa from Shelton Pacific. 8.5” edge, 13” oa .

    A great set of pants.

    I made this knife for the OKCA show which may never happen again. On a recent trip through Cali I dropped it of at Dave Ferry's shop for a sheath. It started as an attempt at raindrop but I wasn't happy with the grind.

    Fun project

    Because I've been kicked around by the blades last week (bendy san mai & Damascus delam) I decided I needed to do something different. I needed a dedicated pin peening hammer. I have had the head for 20 + years but needed a handle. Polished ball and a Koa handle. 3.22 oz.

    My current problem

    Has anyone used this san mai? The outer layers are mild steel I think. I followed the heat treat temps and the edge seems hard but I can bend the blade by hand. I did grind post heat treat. Maybe that's the issue.
