    ROCKROOSTER

I had some co-workers/friends from Australia that wore slip-on/slip-off work boots daily. When I inquired about them they said "Oi man, get ur Blundys, Mate". They all wore boots made by a company called Blundstone and went on and on about how they were the best and most comfortable work boots...

    Over the shoulder carry.

Modified fighter, more of a show piece then a working blade. However the knife was extensively tested on a viscous Pit Bull, well...you can see the results for yourself.

Does anyone have a good working knowledge concerning the possession of small pieces of ivory and the law? Are there a couple of reliable references/links that someone with some experience could recommend?

Best method for cleaning and extending the life of 2x72 belts.

What have you found that is working for you to get a bit of extra cut out of your grinder belts? I use a 2" block/stick of rubber (standard woodworking product) for my sanders but I have found nothing better then a dry stiff cleaning brush for my 2x72 belts.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I awoke this morning thinking of the joy, mystery and excitement that children all over the world are feeling today and tomorrow and it makes me smile. I remember :) I am thankful to my Lord. Merry Christmas to all!

Where has all of the 1084 gone?

1084 I sure would like to find a few feet of 1084 in a decent size (or sizes). Everyone and their brother seems to be out of stock. 1" or 1 1/4" by 1/8". (.125)

Controlling dust and grit while grinding.

I have an old 1hp dust collector left over from the stone age that I use with 4" metal ducting to control sparks, grit and dust. It helps quite a bit but there is always room for improvement. A 5 gal. bucket of water for heavy sparks when needed and the dust collector is what I am presently...

Bench Grinder tool rest for tool/drill bit sharpening.

I have a small enjoyable to make tool rest that I thought I would share with you guys. It is an often used addition to my shop. I used a small Chicom Mill so the main block was easy to make but it would be easy enough to make with a vice and a circular saw with a carborundum blade, anyone with...

Still in the rough 2x72 belt grinder.

I am working up a new belt grinder and I always enjoy seeing photos of other's work so here is one of mine: I am running a 3hp Harbor Freight motor, 220v 1ph with a 4 step pulley. I have another work rest that is about half the size of the one in the photo and is made of 1/4" steel plate. I...

    .22 long rifle

I could not believe my eyes today when I stopped at my local Wal-Mart store. It's been about 2 years since I have been able to purchase any .22 long rifle ammo there but today they had some in stock! I walked out of the store with 600 rounds of Winchester 40 grain round nose. It cost me $56.00...

    Nice little score here...(Ironwood)

I went to pick up this jig for $15.00 from a fellow on Craig's List today and he happened to be a woodworker who also sold me a stack of scrap ironwood for $10.00. The jig is a left over piece from a Delta blade sharpener that he didn't need. It will provide me with a model for a sharpening...
