    small drop point in paela

    Stone wool forge.

    I was thinking take stone wool thats rated at 2200 degrees i think and use that as an outer shell then line the inside with ceramic insulation? I dont really trust stone wool to take the full force of a gas burner but I want to extend my forge a little bit so I can treat 10 to 15 inch blades...

    My first complicated sheath

    Finally finished a camp set! snakeskin sycamore and 1095 pair

    It feels like it took me forever to finish the chopper. Both are made of 1095 steel with 416 pin and a mosaic center pin. The handle is snakeskin sycamore. The small utility knife has a 3 1/4" blade and the total length is 7 3/4". The chopper has a 8" blade and a total length of 13". thanks...

    Buffalo horn utility

    Snakeskin sycamore and 1095

    First chefs knife

    This is my first chefs knife. Its 3/32 1095 with Buckeye scales and redwood burl bolsters. Total length 11" with a 6" blade and a 5" handle. I am really starting to enjoy making kitchen knives. Its much more difficult than I thought but they are so much fun. Thanks for taking a look. Derek Lee
