    Checkering G10.

Go to amazon and look up Jimping tool or Jimping file. I looked at those a while back but never pulled the trigger. I would practice , practice and then practice again before I would do it on a knife. Someone on here maybe Kev, does really cool checkered inlays so maybe he will chime in soon.

Yay or Nay on Harbor Freight Band Saw.

I have ripped two inch thick scale material on the Bauer but it does not handle curves very well. Slow small curves are OK even in steel but that is it. I have a big craftsman wood bandsaw that has been very lonely since my HF metal saw has arrived.

    Twisted Damascus

That is an interesting Idea I have not seen that done with Damascus. The twist is really cool though. I guess I need to try that next. I should be able to pull that off by hand.

Looks like those fit KMG small wheel holders so if yours is or is patterned after the KMG then you are good to go. Boss dawg will know for sure though.

Yay or Nay on Harbor Freight Band Saw.

The funny part is that I had an extra vise laying around so it was a no brainier for me. I will mount the thing on my sanding bench and leave it there.

Yay or Nay on Harbor Freight Band Saw.

I just ordered a V.1 SWAG table for mine. It locks in your vise when you use it you put it away when you dont need it. Best of all it was $59.00 shipped. They make a free standing V.3 or 4 but they are $130 plus.

Yay or Nay on Harbor Freight Band Saw.

I have the Bauer porta-band from HF. I use it to cut steel and wood with no trouble. I made a stand to hold it verticle and it works very well.

    Scale removal- Vinegar soak question...

I have done the vinegar thing on some tomahawks after HT. At least 24 hours and I have left them a little longer too. The upside is it works very well espically for tight corners or inside a handle eye.

    First knife on new Grinder

3/32” for that one. When the customer likes a little weight in the knife I use 1/8. Thanks for the compliments.

    Coal Iron Works forging presses

I would never stop making Damascus if I had that press I could be a little jealous. I pulled off 13 layers by hand this morning but those are just remarkable Gene.
