    You nailed it there. I ended up sanding more than I would have liked but it was necessary. The perfect match of antler and blade is possible I guess. I think next time i’m going to design the blade around the antler piece vs making a blade and trying to find the antler to match.

    I stop by regularly. There are three pet stores close by so it’s easy to do. One even carries water buffaloe horn and sheep horn for dog chews.

    I did. The antler was washed out looking so I stained it with leather dye.

    It’s elk antler. I pick up pieces when i’m at pet smart. I’m always going through their boxes of antler- probably think i’m nuts.
