Is it "diamond" or "Black Diamond"? If its black diamond then it dosent get any better. They are something like 1095 with added carbon. Around 1.27% carbon.. Diamond brand farrier rasps are on the low end of farrier tools. I wouldent bet on them being quaility steel..

Anyone use a big blu hammer? I know Tracy sells them so I thought this may be a good place to ask..How do you like them and what baout that shock mounted handle? Any opinions and thoughts appreciated :biggrin:

First is a wrap and weld hawk with a nice piece of curly maple.. This one is based of some historical spike hawks we have found thru research. Welded up from two seperate pieces for the body and a bit of W-1 tool steel. Also a nice piece of curly maple.

In case anyones wondering we have been trying the gorilla glue EPOXY and its some great stuff too..Stands up to rough grinding very well, havent had a failure yet..Its some tuff stuff thats for sure..
