    Specific hand sanding question

Those sandflex Ed recommended are very handy. He suggested them in another hand sanding thread I started and I bought them right away. And I'm glad I did. There are 3 grits. Course, medium and fine. I suggest you get all three. They're pretty cheap and well worth the money.

Outstanding WIP. I can see where I would have done things differently and LESS efficiently. Well done. Really liking this thread.

    CAD programs?

Draftsight. I design every knife in it. There's a bit of a learning curve but it's not hard to get the basics down. Even the more advanced features aren't that difficult. There's quite a few YouTube videos that can get you started if you have no CAD experience. And the price is right...it's...

    Nevermind

I'm always interested in WIPs but especially folders. Having built a few folders that worked and more than a few that didn't, I'll only add one thing. Flat, square and parallel is the name of the game with folders. I'll be following this thread the whole way.

Lets talk the Business of Knifemaking.

This thread has really got me thinking. I need to get a better handle on my expenses, especially my labor. The amount of time I put into a knife has always been an estimate for me and I'd like to get a more precise number on that. So I downloaded a time clock app onto my phone. Now when I go...

I made the handles satin but I'm not sure if I'll leave them like that. They tend to be scratch magnets with that finish but I like the look. I may end up bead blasting them.

Also did a hand sculpted Zirconium pocket clip with hidden screws. I like a longer clip but this one may be just a bit too long. Maybe not.
