    Tracking?

I don't think you'll be disappointed, especially considering how many knives you're able to turn out. Did you stick with the 8" wheel or something bigger?

    Tracking?

Yes. 8" wheel, platen, 2 rests and small wheel holder. Although I don't remember if it comes with small wheels. I don't think so. About 2 years after I got it I bought a 12" wheel and the doubler plates that he makes. Keep in mind that this thing came out of the box ready to rock n roll. No...

    Tracking?

All the time. Probably 40% of my grinder use is in the horizontal position.

    Tracking?

You won't regret it. At least I never have. There are a lot of choices in grinders these days but I think the TW-90 is still the class of the field. It's expensive but worth it IMO. I use it for much more than just knife making. Buy once, cry once.

    Tracking?

Ken is correct, the TW-90 tracking is done by pivoting the entire motor as opposed to the tensioning wheel.

    Something new

I have a couple of grinding jigs that I've used in the past. Problem is, I can't get a good grind with a jig. They're uneven and always look terrible. I don't know why. I assume there's still a learning curve even with a jig. So I stopped using them and learned freehand out of necessity...

    First Folder. Now a WIP

Really nice job. Especially for a first folder. If you're talking about the lock bar, you should be able to bend it over to lock the blade open.

    Milling machine help

The iGaging that John linked to above. They're relatively cheap and work great The round vernier gauges on the handles of a mini mill all but useless IMO. Mini mills also have a good deal of backlash that make it a PIA to hold any real accuracy. What I used to do was set up multiple dial...

    Milling machine help

I don't have either of those but I do have a LMS mill. I added a DRO and it wasn't too much of a pain. I think each mill will present it's own unique set of challenges when installing a DRO. For instance, one of the feet was in the way on mine. I needed to come up with a way to mount it so...

Might see a familiar face on Season 2 of Historys Knife or Death.

Dude, you did great! Very impressive what you were able to do. I know I couldn't have done it. I'd be gassed just shoving that gate open to get to the course.

Need something for the knife shop.

Mill before the HT IMO oven especially if you plan on making folders. Do you need a TAP controller? No. Do you want a TAP controller? Yes.

    Long overdue upgrade

I added a rubber layer to my disk grinder. I got it from the Boss at least a year ago, maybe 2, but I never got around to putting it on. Now that I have it on I wonder why the heck I waited so long! So much better. Way smoother. This is a cheap and fast upgrade that I highly recommend.
