Since I'm a new internet trained knifemaker ( yea I know, Covid no classes avail in my part of the country) I thought I would share my first Hamon with you guys. I think its the 22nd blade I've made so I was blown away that it turned out at all. It's 80CRV2 Which I didn't know if it would show at all with all the alloys involved. One question I have for every you guys is after I got it cleaned up I had alot of tiny pits in the steel , but only where the clay was! They came out in the finish grinding but I'd still like to know if it was the clay ( Jantz Hamon glop or could it be I need to let the Clay dry longer (2 hrs) Thanks , Steve (in balmy western Montana) hamon.jpg
