Checking in from Alaska

Just checking in ,I haven't posted in a while but I've been extremely busy up here.My job on the north slope got even more demanding with all the lay offs and the covid baloney. The homelife has also kept me jumping through hoops as we had lots of projects going on at the homestead and also putting a new roof on my father in law's pole barn.Ive been able to keep up on my custom orders and had little time to spend making the knives that I just want to make but i do have a few ready for hand work.I havnt had time to work on the learning process of hand engraving but hope to spend some time on that this winter.I also purchased some beautiful ancient walrus ivory from Mark that I still havnt decided what to do with,a Bowie or a kitchen knife ??? Cant decide. Another very exciting thing in my world is that I'm waiting on the delivery of a steel building that will be my knife shop out on the homestead, I will be hauling it as well as all the materials for the foundation by snowmachine as soon as the river freezes up. Hope all is well with the everyone and my apologies for not checking in and posting more often !

Living in Alaska sure provides a few challenges/obstacles. But, a new knife shop is not one of them. I'm excited to see the pictures of that challenge. Snow machine delivery sounds a bit daunting.
