Friend of mine gave me a box of smaller files that belonged to his Dad. His Dad passed away and he told me he didn't like them in the house cause it made him sad. I procrastinated making this as I hope he takes it for what its ment to be. A keep sake of his Dad. It's been a couple years so I'm hoping! Little about the knife. It's an old Nicholson file I forged to shape, I left some of the file teeth so he knows what it is and where it came from, it has a Copper and Silver Epoxy Scales (these are for him as he sells electrical supplies). I toiled over the finish of the scales as I usually dont polish them on a EDC type knife. Figured he isn't gonna use it much so the heck with it! Anyway let me know your thoughts! Thanks!20200310_232551.jpg20200310_234839.jpg

Can you please elaborate a little on the scales?

Bought them from a seller on Etsy. Name of the shop is AAO Customs. He does a lot of resin scales and Hybrid scales. They make grips for 45ACPs in full size and compact. They have a web site if you dont want to do the Etsy thing. Everything I've bought from him has been outstanding, great communication and fast shipping. He also includes finishing directions for the type of scale you buy. On Etsy if you get $35 of scales he gives free shipping. I bought this set of scales to go on something special. Have to find the right project!
