Headlamp

You're probably wanting someone with a grinder to answer you. But real quick - I use my headlamp for helping me see if I get all my scratches out. Mine has an LED light and is adjustable so it's pretty bright and I can point it right at my work. Here is a pic of what I have but I don't remember paying that much at the time.

I believe I bought mine from sportsman's warehouse. I've had it about 7 years so it's lasted a long time. It only needs 1 AA battery but that will only last me about one consecutive hour. But it isn't bulky like the ones with a battery pack attached. And I'd rather replace 1 AA instead of 3 AAA batteries. Like I said it's lasted a long time so I haven't really needed to compare brands yet.

I used a headlamp for a while. It’s definitely a big help if your shop lighting is bad or if your head always seems to be in the way of the light. However, a headlamp also has problems. It forces you to hold your head where the light shines best and your neck gets stiff.

A way better solution, in my opinion, is a clamp-on LED desk lamp with a gooseneck. You can get them for $20 at Lowes.
