KNIFE MAKER
So this one is CPM 154 CM. The handle is made from spalted maple, Blackwood, and SS guard and spacer. The spacer will also have file work. The blade is hardened, but I still have some big scratches to remove. I’m just taking my time plugging away at it. Thanks for looking. Please comment, correct and critique... That black spacer goes very well with the spalted maple, really compliments it (it's 3:20 a.m and I'm trying to look at knife pics under the bed covers :) ).

That is looking great! It looks like you are testing new horizons with this blade and you are doing well. I have very little experience in regards to building knives, so am expressing my opinion more than anything else, but I think you are well on your to mastering new techniques of knife making.

I dont know that there is a specific angle Kevin. It is just that (at leastto my eye) expecially on the finger side that if the guard curves down to a finer end it makes the knife look more "lively" rather than blocky if you see what I mean

Dan and Johan, thanks for the great compliments. I’m trying lol. This build is really pushing me to learn new stuff, but I’m lovin’ It. The hidden tang deal is super fun because of the limitless options... I just have to finish one. This one will get finished.
 
Looks great man! I think I’m getting ready to try a hidden tang knife. I’ve done two that we’re deer antler handled but I want to do one in a nice wood so that I can actually sculpt the handle to shape. Those little contours and palm swells that guys grind into them just look so stinking sweet :D

Man, I like that one Kevin! Great overall design and the shape of that handle looks very comfortable. Stick with it as this is going to be a good one.

Thanks, brother! It’s defini wayyyy over my head, but I like to tinker around with all the little pieces. Glad you like it!
