The beast is done!!! This is the biggest knife I have made to date. I originally was going to make it bladesport competition spec knife but end ended up going a different direction with it. Is kind of half chopper half machete I think.
17" over all
12" blade
CPM3V steel heat treated by Peters Heat treating
Cowboy Coffee bag micarta from @laidupcomposites
Orange g10 liners
Kydex sheath by me as well, tried something a little different by over laying some a different color on top of the black.

That looks great but WOW, I can only imagine how the grinding went on it. That steel is as tough as the blade looks. Hope you did some pre-HT grinding to save on belts. That'll last you a good long time.
 
I did some testing with the new chopper and boy I sure do like the way it performed!!

I made a short video if you would like to see.
I need to get better at making videos and hope to put out some knifemaking videos soon....Im working on a project now that Im documenting. But doing it all with no real camera or computer is proving to be difficult.
