I still use the 3 stones my father used, He taught me how to sharpen a knife and hatchet when I was 8, I was a cub scout (remember pine wood derby's) 60 years latter I'm still doing it the same way.
This is one of a kind made by Knife maker C E Gene Johnson in the mid 80s. I purchased the knife at a gun show in January of 99 . He replied in November the handle is a Hippo Tooth. In the letter he states it is one of a kind .

This is an English fruit knife the blade is sterling silver with decorative edging Hallmarks are from Sheffield Maker John Oxley dated 1846 stamped on the blade the pearl is beautifully carved on both sides It is 176 years old and in new condition It has never been used.
