    Shop Etiquette

Glad I,am not the only one with this type of problem. I have just got to the point where the knife sales are covering all of the shop cost so its stings a bit. I think I have read a list of dos and don'ts in Blade Mag. for the knife shop. Maybe find it and make a big poster out of it and hang it...

    Shop Etiquette

This has been going on for sometime. Guys come to the shop empty handed. I am not a cheap person, I do how much it cost to wash my hands(LOL) in the shop but they think nothing of using up a Norton 36 grit belt. They do not bring any 1018 for hollow grinding practice or they will fix a friends...

    R.W. Wilson, still at it!!

Spent the first part of this week at RW Wilson shop for some tips and lessons. Some jaw dropping skills is all I can say. 90% was just watching. Take a heat treated blade and make a master piece in an hour. One thing that I thought I could live with out would be a tomahawk...till I seen...

    Doing Your First Show

I think that I have seen somethings about this but the search came up dry. Anyway I have done some church stuff and manage to sell one blade and about 25 three dollar blades. Never done a gun/knife show. Anyway if one could give a link or some do's and don'ts it would be a great help. Is a...

    Seal Brass Bolsters

I have put on my 2nd set of brass bolsters and the problem of weight is turning people off. The main thing is the dull look after a week, is there a sealer you can put on brass to to keep tarnish away?

    Repair Buffalo Horn

Got some black buffalo horn and when sanding down the handle it has hollow spots in it. It happened right at the stop point so any more sanding would make the handle to small. Does anyone have a fix for this. I think its going to be an on going problem working with horn and bone, this is the 2nd...

What Type Of Steel For A Meat Cleaver

If 5160 would work that would be great, I did a 9 inch chopper blade in that steel and then worked on a lighter stump with it for a couple of minutes. My friend seen me do it and then ended up buying it. I have only done one stainless (cpm 154) blade so far and didn't get the heat treat right...

    Eastwood Powder Coating

Guy at work that does car stuff show me this site. I did a search and did not find a thread with this. Any old dogs think this would work for a carbon blade? Looks pretty simple and not to much money for powder coating on a hobby level (Elite Hotcoat Powder Coating Kit). Thanks Dmac
