Hi guys, So my first batch of aeb-l knife are out for heat treat but i would like to make some blades in 80crv2 and HT by myself. With my CNC and my new 2x72 and bunch of other stuff, my budget is limited and i cant afford a kiln for the moment. So i was thinking buying a small propane forge...

How can I get a good flame striped finish on Ti?

Never try that but if the propane torch is too large, may be you can try with that: https://www.canadiantire.ca/fr/pdp/chalumeau-mag-torch-oxy-map-0587579p.html I use it for brazing, the flame is very small and precise, and hotter than propane (so less heat propagation may be)

    My new CNC knife project

Yes exactly. If i don't make money with knife, i will make money with something else. Not really worried about that. My main goal is just to be capable of living making something a love to do.. You are right, Pathpilot is LinuxCNC

    My new CNC knife project

Hi ! My CNC is a Tormach 440. Pretty small and limited machine. 0.75HP and approx 10"x6" working area. Not "expensive", but good little machine to start small run and learing. I made the stand and the enclosure by myself to save money. To be honest, if you can afford a Tormach 770, go with it...
