It is hard to explain to someone that I make knives. I am not your typical maker who has a long history in hunting, shooting, cooking, the military, or practice martial arts.

I am drawn to the creation aspect making something from nothing. There are common features like steel, an edge, handle, sheath, but after that the sky is open.

I like the functional goal in conjunction with a design. Finally, my hope is a knife will have longevity and be passed down and outlive me. To have someone buy something I made with my name on it is a goal I strive for. The knife making community is also something to note. There is no other group that willingly shares knowledge and encouragement
