    Scoliosis... My story

Hi Mike, When my son was 16, he had a 53 degree curve in his back. He was opened up from the base of his neck to his left hip. Rods were put in, along with bone from the bone bank, and some from his hip. On the 7th day, he walked out of the hospital and down steps on his own. We were close by...

    Very special Christmas gift.

My Dad, who is now in the Nursing home with Alzheimer's, trapped for a living all his life. My Mother had some of his traps made into this. This one is mine! Couldn't count the fox, mink, coyote, etc. this trap has caught.

    Micarta experimentation

I used cheep waxed paper. That might have been the problem. No vacuum bag was used. I used boards, and clamps. It took around 100 layers, which was 10 yards of denim, and 1 1/4 gallons of epoxy. Layup was done about 1/4 inch at the time, and it turned out real nice.

    Micarta experimentation

Here are a couple pictures of my denim gun stock for those who haven't seen it yet. I used MAX CLR-HP epoxy system, which Is cheaper then West Systems. I picked it up on Ebay. It was a real workout shaping, and took a nice shine. Waxed paper stuck pretty bad and had to be scrubbed off...

Thanks for the response! Just the guy I need to hear from. I was wondering how expensive it will be for a professional to do! Need to know how much to subtract from there asking price. It used to be owned by a woman that went to a nursing home. Social Service have it now, and were unaware of...

    Cracked bowed basement help!

Hi all! I am planning on moving back to my hometown this spring. Last weekend I went house shopping, and found the perfect house. I love it! But when I looked at the basement, three walls were bowed and had horizontal cracks. Worst wall was bowed about two inches, for 20 feet or so. The wall...

    H-13 steel

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like the scrap dumpster will be its best home... Don't want to go through all the trouble, and end up with something just acceptable. Thanks... Dave

    H-13 steel

At work, we just scraped out some die inserts. They are H-13, and there are 8 of them. I can cut them and get 8 chunks 6x6x1 inches. Would have to bring the hardness down before they could be cut. Would H-13 be worth the effort? Several smaller chunks can be had also. Maybe an ax or hatchet...
