True. It worked good early on, but my knives have passed the point where that simple of a mark is acceptable. Working on acquiring an etcher. I just posted it up because I went through a time when I was looking for how to mark my blades without spending alot of money, and I couldn't find much.

I've heard of doing this, but with dripping wax onto the blade, and scratching out the name. That would prevent a reverse-etched logo. Has anyone tried this before?
 
Somebody on a knife forum that uses the Cyrillic alphabet (Russia, Turkey?) linked to my tutorial. They must have found the link here. Thanks, Tracy!
 
1224111329.jpgI just had to try this. I worked. Thanks. My method was a little differant. I covered the blade with the sharpy and rubed my name through the sharpy. I did not let the acid sit very long but I do have my name on my knife! A really bad pic. But thanks.
