Good video and useful info. I've used the vise method you showed but the C-clamp method is new to me. Thanks for posting!
 
This will come in handy today. Yesterday while drilling holes in the handle of the blank, the bit grabbed and screwed the handle nearly up to the chuck! I had the blade clamped down, so I ended up with an "S" shaped handle! I figured it was a fluke because I never had this happen before. So the next knife, same thing! I straightened the best I could before HT, but sure enough, when they came out of the quench, I had a pretty good bend in them. Gonna wait until after the 2nd round of tempering and try the C clamp method!
